L'utilisation prolongée de corticostéroïdes peut provoquer des cataractes sous-capsulaires postérieures et une élévation de la pression intra-oculaire, ce qui peut conduire à un glaucome et/ou des dommages au nerf optique. La thérapie à Long terme avec des corticostéroïdes doit être administré avec prudence chez les patients avec une histoire de la cataracte, le glaucome, ou augmentation de la pression intraoculaire.
