L'utilisation des inhibiteurs sélectifs du recaptage (Isrs) a rarement été associée à une hyponatrémie, parfois secondaire au développement du syndrome de sécrétion inappropriée de l'hormone antidiurétique (SIADH). Ces événements ont été généralement réversibles après l'arrêt du ISRS thérapie et/ou une intervention médicale. ISRS liés à l'hyponatrémie peut être plus fréquente chez les femmes âgées et ceux qui sont hypovolémie ou recevant un traitement diurétique concomitant. Attention peut être justifiée lorsque ISRS traitement est administré chez ces patients et les patients souffrant déjà d'hyponatrémie ou SIADH. Les électrolytes sériques, en particulier le sodium, azote uréique du sang et de la créatinine plasmatique doit être surveillée régulièrement.
