L'utilisation de la niacine et niacinamide (nicotinamide) est contre-indiqué dans les patients avec des cas d'hypotension grave. Ces agents vasodilatateurs périphériques effets et peuvent souvent causer des bouffées de chaleur, à des doses nettement supérieures à celles pour les exigences physiologiques (par exemple, diminution des lipides sanguins doses).
