L'utilisation de spectre étendu de pénicilline des antibiotiques a rarement été associé à des anomalies de la coagulation, qui se manifeste comme prolongée de prothrombine et le temps de saignement anormal de l'agrégation plaquettaire, un purpura, des cliniques et des saignements. Ces réactions ont été les plus graves et les plus fréquemment rapportés chez les patients atteints d'insuffisance rénale, compte tenu des fortes doses de médicaments pendant de longues périodes, mais ils ont également eu lieu avec des dosages habituels chez les patients avec une fonction rénale normale. La thérapie avec les pénicillines à large spectre doit être administré avec prudence chez les patients atteints de manière significative altération de la fonction rénale, une grave hémorragie active, ou d'une diathèse hémorragique, comme l'hémophilie, la carence en vitamine K, hypoprothrombinémie, thrombocytopénie, ou thrombocytopathy. Saignements manifestations sont réversibles à l'arrêt de l'antibiotique.
