Anti-inflammatoires non stéroïdiens (Ains) réversible inhiber l'adhésion des plaquettes et de l'agrégation et peut prolonger le temps de saignement chez certains patients. À l'exception de l'aspirine, les plaquettes les effets observés avec la plupart des Ains à des posologies habituelles sont généralement légères et de durée relativement courte, mais peut être plus prononcé chez les patients atteints de sous-jacents des anomalies de l'hémostase. Une thrombocytopénie a également été rapportés lors de l'utilisation des AINS. La thérapie avec les Ains doivent être administrés avec prudence chez les patients présentant une importante hémorragie active ou d'une diathèse hémorragique, y compris de l'hémostase et/ou des troubles de la coagulation associé à l'hémophilie, la carence en vitamine K, hypoprothrombinémie, thrombocytopénie, thrombocytopathy, ou d'insuffisance hépatique grave. Les ains inhibent sélectivement la cyclo-oxygénase-2 (c'est à dire, les inhibiteurs COX-2) ne semble pas affecter la fonction plaquettaire ou le temps de saignement chez les doses indiquées et peut être préférable si le risque de saignement est un sujet de préoccupation.
