L'Azathioprine est métaboliquement converti à l'actif sur le plan pharmacologique de la 6-mercaptopurine (6-MP). La Conversion à la 6-MP et le métabolisme de la 6-MP peut être altérée chez les patients avec une maladie du foie. Le traitement avec ce médicament doit être administré avec prudence chez les patients avec une maladie du foie. Surveillance de la fonction hépatique est recommandée chez ces patients.
