Le risque d'infarctus du myocarde et accidents vasculaires cérébraux, y compris ceux associés à l'utilisation de contraceptifs oraux et certains l'utilisation d'œstrogènes, est augmenté dans les patients avec l'hypertension. En outre, les œstrogènes et progestatifs) peut élever la pression artérielle et d'aggraver l'hypertension, reléguant ainsi le risque. Cliniquement significative de la pression artérielle augmente, ont été signalés au cours de la thérapie d'oestrogène, en particulier chez les patients recevant des doses élevées ou traités avec des contraceptifs oraux combinaisons ayant une forte activité progestative.
