Ce médicament inhibe la conversion périphérique de la thyroxine (T4) et de la triiodothyronine (T3) et contribue également de l'iode inorganique qui peut se traduire par une altération tests de la fonction thyroïdienne, d'hypothyroïdie ou d'hyperthyroïdie. La thérapie avec de l'amiodarone doit être administré avec prudence chez les patients atteints de dysfonctionnement de la thyroïde. Surveillance clinique, y compris de la référence et de l'évaluation périodique de la fonction thyroïdienne est recommandé. Modification de la thyroïde, la thérapie peut être nécessaire.
