Les dommages du myocarde, y compris des soins de l'insuffisance ventriculaire gauche peut se produire avec la doxorubicine. Le risque de cardiomyopathie est proportionnelle à l'exposition cumulée avec les taux d'incidence de 1% à 20% du cumul des doses allant de 300 mg/m2 à 500 mg/m2 lorsque la doxorubicine est administré toutes les 3 semaines. Le risque de cardiomyopathie est encore accru avec concomitante cardiotoxiques thérapie. En outre, la doxorubicine, peuvent également causer des arythmies, y compris la vie en danger à tout moment pendant le traitement. Évaluer la FEVG avant et régulièrement pendant et après le traitement par la doxorubicine. La doxorubicine est contre-indiqué dans les patients avec grave infarctus insuffisance et l'infarctus du myocarde récent (depuis 6 mois).
